Shoreline CC Transfer Associate Degrees

Associate in Arts and Sciences Option A

This is the general planning guide. The AAS Option A is part of the Washington State Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA), which is helpful in admission and course evaluation at almost all Washington State Schools. This degree can also be used to prepare and apply at out-of-state schools. Colleges/universities not part of the WA State DTA will evaluate your application and coursework on an individual basis.

Associate in Arts & Sciences Option B

This is the general planning guide. It can be used to develop your own academic plan for any school or major you are interested in. It is not part of a transfer agreement. This means that colleges/universities will evaluate your application and coursework on an individual basis.

This degree is part of a Washington State Business Direct Transfer Agreement

Associate in Fine Arts (Foundation Studio Art - AFA ----- Photography - AFA)

The AFA degree offers students multiple opportunities and experience in a number of art disciplines with an emphasis on the development of a strong portfolio of artwork. The AFA degree is a model that highlights transfer opportunities as an art major to Bachelor of Art and Bachelor of Fine Art programs, while providing graduates with a sold foundation for artistic growth and for employment opportunities with just the associate degree. Students pursuing the AFA degree have two options of study. They can complete the Foundation Studio Art Option with a concentration in two-dimensional or in three-dimensional art, or, if they have a clear interest in photography, they can complete the Photography Option: Foundation Studio Art - AFA ----- Photography - AFA

The Associate in Sciences Transfer - Track 1 for Biological and Life Sciences.

This transfer degree is designed for students preparing for biology, chemistry, life sciences and related majors and also works well in preparation for a variety of health programs, such as pharmacy, dentistry, medical school and others. The degree is part of the Washington State Associate in Sciences Transfer Agreement. Please scroll down to the Science Division area for more detailed Planning Guides by intended major.

The Associate in Sciences Transfer - Track 2 for Engineering and Physical Sciences.

This transfer degree is designed for students preparing for computer science, engineering, physics and related majors.
