Association of Nursing Students
SCCANS is the Shoreline Community College Association of Nursing Students. It is a
student-led organization for past, current, and future nursing students at Shoreline
Community College in Seattle, Washington. Every student enrolled in the Shoreline
Nursing Program is automatically a member of SCCANS. In addition to providing a supportive
network for incoming and current nursing students, SCCANS provides opportunities for
students to become involved in community outreach and fundraising, as well as to participate
with nursing instructors in several committees that directly affect our SCC nursing
community and curriculum. Active student members help organize and run events such
- "Brown Bag" guest speakers
- Student in Need fundraiser
- Blood drive
- Food and clothing drive
- National Nurses Day celebration
- Pinning Ceremony
- Alumni meet and greet
