"Not
a day goes by that I don't give thanks for
the opportunity you have had a hand in
providing for me and my children. Without
your generosity, I would not be where I am
today! Please accept not only my humble
gratitude, but that of my children. If
asked, they would tell you I remind them
often of how this scholarship has made a
difference for us now and how it impacts our
future"

Tami - SCC 2008 Graduate

Student Success Annual Breakfast
The SCC Foundation hosts an Annual Student
Success Breakfast each November. Attended by
friends, community and business and the campus;
this traditional breakfast raises crucial
dollars to support scholarships and other
related student financial benefits. This year's
event will be held in the main dining room of
the PUB (Pagoda Student Union Building) located
on the Shoreline Community College campus on
November 3, 2011. We encourage you to join us
for this inspiring community breakfast event!
Stay tuned for more information as the event
draws closer.
Matching Gifts
Double the value of your gift! Often your
donation to the SCC Foundation can be doubled by
matching funds from companies and other
foundations. Please talk to your employer about
your company’s policy on matching gifts.
Bequests
We encourage you to join our SCC Foundation
Legacy Club. By including Shoreline Community
College Foundation in your will or trust, your
dedication to education becomes a lasting and
living legacy which will support students for
years to come.
Endowments
An endowment is a permanent fund in which the
principle is invested and the earnings are used
to support students. Endowed funds support in
perpetuity, programs or purposes designated by
the donor. Unrestricted endowed funds are
especially critical because they allow the
college to respond to challenges and
opportunities as they change over time.
Memorial Scholarships
Donations are made by family and friends in
memory of a loved one. Proceeds are often
directed to particular programs or specific
areas of student aid.

The SCC Foundation is
a separate 501(c) 3 tax exempt organization
established in 1984 to provide funding for
student and college needs not otherwise met by
state funding and tuition fees. A volunteer
board of directors composed of representatives
of community leaders, business and industry,
alumni, and educators governs the Foundation.
For the purpose of strengthening the development
program and partially defraying related
administrative costs,
a fee of 10% will be assessed on all gifts and
contracts
made to the Shoreline Community College
Foundation effective July 1, 2011, |
