Apply for Graduation

Graduation occurs when a student officially and successfully completes all of the graduation requirements for a particular degree or certificate. Students must apply to graduate and are responsible for ensuring they have met all program-specific and general College requirements.

 

2018-2019 Application Deadlines

  • Fall Quarter Graduates: October 12, 2018
  • Winter Quarter Graduates : February 22, 2019
  • Spring Quarter Graduates : April 12, 2019
  • Summer Quarter Graduates: July 12, 2019

 

Professional/Technical Graduation Application

Students completing a professional/technical degree or certificate should follow these steps. (If you are completing more than one degree or certificate, submit a separate graduation application for each). 

Step 1: Consult with your faculty advisor in your program to schedule a 30 minute appointment. 

Meet with your faculty advisor to review your academic progress, finalize the required paperwork, and sign off on your planning guide.

Step 2:  Fill out the degree or certificate graduation application form:

Step 3: Have the dean sign off on your planning guide, keeping all documentation together.

Step 4:  Submit your completed application and signed planning guide by the above deadline to Enrollment & Financial Aid Services (FOSS Building 5000).

Transfer Graduation Application

Students completing a transfer or major related program associate’s degree should follow these steps. (If you are completing more than one degree or certificate, you will need to submit a separate graduation application for each one).

Step 1: Meet with your advisor to review your academic process and check your transfer planning guide or Degree Audit (available for most degrees).

Step 2: Fill out the Application for Degree (graduation application).  List all colleges from which credits are to be used to complete degree requirements.

Step 3: Submit your completed application to Enrollment & Financial Aid Services (FOSS Building 5000) by the deadline, or email the completed application to sccgrad@shoreline.edu

Diplomas

Diplomas for degrees and certificates are awarded once a final graduation evaluation has occurred to confirm all requirements have been satisfied. Diplomas are mailed to graduates 10-12 weeks after the end of the quarter in which they graduate.

Commencement Ceremony
