Most tutoring takes places in-person on campus. To see on campus tutor schedules and make an appointment, log in to Starfish, scroll down to Your Services, and click on the Student Learning Center. You will now see the Student Learning Center profile. The Team Members section displays all tutors and the subjects and classes they can tutor, and allows you to make an appointment for in-person services in the Library. Trained, volunteer peer consultants who have successfully completed CMST&220 Public Speaking at Shoreline Community College are available by appointment only to help with:
- Speech/presentation delivery
- General oral communication skills
- Managing speaking anxiety
- Topic selection
- Audience analysis
- Content development
- Organizing ideas
- Outlines and notecard prep
- Presentation aids
The Public Speaking Center is available to all Shoreline students for speech presentations or oral communication practice for any class or any other oral communication needs. Coaching is by appointment only and may be subject to coach availability.
