Final Volleyball Players of the Weeks (Catch Up Time)
October 29-November 4:

Arianna Garcia - Had 28 kills and 21 digs iin two wins on the road against Whatcom Community College and Everett Community College. The Lady Dolphins win a toug
h 3-2 mach at Whatcom, were Arianna had 18 kills and 15 digs and then Garcia had 10 kills in an easy 3-0 win over the Trojans.

November 5-11:

Emily Denham and Jalyn Anderson are Co-Players of the Week:

SCC drops a tough 0-3 match to Bellevue College at home were first set was 25-23 and 3rd set was 29-27. Denham has 16 kills, 16 digs and 1 service ace, while Anderson had 41 assists and 7 digs and 2 service aces.

November 12-18:

Arianna Garcia and Emily Denham - At the NWAACC Volleyball Championship, the Lady Dolphins go 0-2 but freshmen Arianna Garcia and Emily Denham have a good tournament, with Garcia scoring 15 kills and 14 digs in the two matches and Denham having 12 kills, 2 service aces and 17 digs in the two matches.

SCC ends the season 14-18 and 3rd in the NWAACC Northern Region, having only one sophomore and starting 5 freshmen.

Lady Dolphin Volleyball Ends Season At NWAACC Championship

The Shoreline Community College Volleyball Team ended their 2012 season on Thursday at NWAACC Volleyball Championship at Mt. Hood Community College in Oregon. 

The Dolphins opened up the tournament against Green River Community College and ran into a "Buzz-Saw" as the Gators dispatched the SCC squad in three straight sets 25-19, 25-21, 25-16 and put Shoreline into the losers bracket.

SCC then faced Chemeketa Community College in the losers bracket and dropped a 25-21, 25-23 match to the Storm to end their season in the double elimination tournament.

SCC ended their season with a 14-20 overall record, after finishing 3rd in the NWAACC Northern Region in 2012. SCC team had 8 freshmen and only 1 sophomore and prospects for 2013 look good for a very strong team next season with 8 returning sophomores.
Lady Dolphin Volleyball Opens NWAACC Championship Play Today:

The Shoreline Community College Volleyball Team opens play today at the NWAACC Volleyball Championship at 4:30pm today against Green River Community College.

The Lady Dolphins finished 3rd in the NWAACC Northern Region and have a 14-18 overall record for 2012. SCC was 8-4 in the region.

Green River comes into the match with a 26-8 record and finished 2nd in the Western Region of the NWAACC with a 10-2 mark in the region. 

Shoreline and Green River did not play each other during the regular season.

If SCC wins, they will play at 12:30pm on Friday against the winner of Blue Mountain CC and Chemeketa CC. If SCC loses, they play tonight at 8:15pm against the loser of BMCC and CCC.
SCC's Lauren Deatrick Named NWAACC All-Star For Volleyball
300_6613s.jpgSophomore Lauren Deatrick has been named to the NWAACC Northern Region All-Star Team for 2012. SCC's lone sophomore was named as an "Around" player in the selection. 

Deatrick from Shorecrest High School will play in the NWAACC All-Star Games on Sunday, November 18th at Mt. Hood Community College in conjunction with the NWAACC Volleyball Championship.

The Lady Dolphins went 14-18 on the season and will be at the NWAACC Volleyball Championships as the 3rd place finisher in the region.
SCC Volleyball Has Three Named To All-Region Team
The Lady Dolphin Volleyball Team had three players named to the NWAACC Northern Region "All-Region" Team for 2012. Freshman Arianna Garcia was named to the first team while Emily Denham and Shawna Pung were named to the second team.

All three players are freshman and will return to SCC in 2013.

The Dolphins were 14-18 in 2012 and finished 3rd in the Northern Region after winning the region championship in 2010 and 2011. But the squad did qualify for the NWAACC Volleyball Championship and will play Green River CC next Thursday at 4:30pm at Mt. Hood Community College in the championship's first round.
