The Shoreline Community College Women's Soccer Team tied Whatcom Community College on Wednesday afternoon in Bellingham, WA. The Orcas and Dolphins played to a 1-1 draw.

The two schools remain tied for first place in the NWAACC Northern Region with 3-1-1 records in the region. 

SCC got their goal from Ashley Cole on an assistant from Elle Blume.

Shoreline is now 4-3-1 overall and travel to Salem, Oregon on Saturday to face Chemeketa Community College.

The Lady Dolphins defeat Clark College 3-1 at Dolphin Field on the Shoreline Community College Campus. 

SCC Names Browne and Schoonover C0-Women's Soccer Players of the Week
300_2489s.jpgShoreline Community College named Freshman Kayla Browne and Sophomore Lauren Schoonover as "Co-Women's Soccer Player of the Week" for September 17-24 on Monday.

Browne (sister of SCC Baseball Coach, Ryan Browne) scored two goals against Clark College on Saturday at Dolphin Field on the SCC campus to lead the Lady Dolphins to a 3-1 victory. 

Schoonover allowed two goals in two games fo
r the Dolphins over the week, allowing a goal in the 86th minute against Everett on Wednesday in a 1-0 loss and then allowing a goal in the 89th minute in the 3-1 victory over Clark. Lauren has 3 shutouts on the year and has allowed 7 goals in 6 matches.300_2081s.jpg

The NWAACC's 6th ranked team, SCC will face Whatcom Community College on Wednesday in Bellingham, WA, as the two teams fight for 1st placed in the Northern Region, both teams have 2-1 records in the division. SCC then travels to Salem, OR on Saturday to face Chemeketa CC, who have struggled to a 1-5-1 record so far this season.

SCC Women's Soccer Defeats Clark College 3-1 On Saturday
The 6th ranked Lady Dolphin Soccer Team put a solid performance together on Saturday, defeating Clark College 3-1 on Saturday at Dolphin Field on the SCC Campus.

Kayla Browne opened the scoring for SCC with a goal in the 39th minute off an assistant by Kendra Holley. Angela Celedon closed the second half with a penalty kick in the 44th minute.

ayla Browne again scored to seal the victory for the Dolphins in the 66th minute. Ckark scored in the last minute of the game to save from being shutout.

SCC is now 4-3-0 overall, and 3-1-0 in the NWAACC Northern Region. Clark falls to 3-4-1 overall and 2-2 in the NWAACC Southern Region.

SCC faces Whatcom Community College on Wednesday in Bellingham in a Northern Region match-up. Match time is 2:00pm.
Angela Celedon Named SCC Women's Soccer Player of the Week:
Shoreline Community College named Angela Celedon "Women's Soccer Player of the Week" for the second consecutive week on Thursday for the week of September 10-17.

Celedon scored three goals against Southwestern Oregon CC on Saturday in a 5-0 SCC win. She also scored the only SCC goal in a 3-1 one lost to Trinity Lutheran College on September 11 at SCC. 

The 6th ranked Dolphins are 3-3 on the season, and 2-1 in the NWAACC Northern Region. SCC plays Clark College on Saturday at Noon at Dolphin Field on the SCC campus.

The Shoreline Community College Women's Soccer Team is ranked 6th in the NWAACC in the poll released on September 19th.

SCC has beaten #5 Clackamas 1-0 at home and SCC lost to #8 Everett CC 0-1 yesterday at Everett. Whatcom is the 3rd NWAACC Northern Region team in the poll, tied at 8 with EVCC. Edmonds another Northern Region squad had votes as well.

SCC plays again on Saturday at home against Clark College at Noon.

SCC Women's Soccer Drops 1-0 Match To Everett CC
The Lady Dolphins dropped their opening game against a NWAACC Northern Region opponent on Wednesday, 1-0 to the Everett CC Trojans in Everett, WA.

The two teams battled to a 0-0 tie at half-time and it looked like both teams would fail to score in the match, but EVCC broke through in the 86th minute and Everett held on to win the match.

SCC falls to 3-3-0 overall and 2-1-0 in the Northern Region. Everett is now 2-3-0 overal
l and 2-1-0 as well. Whatcom CC joins EVCC and SCC at 2-1-0 in the region to make a three way tie for first place in the early season.

SCC hosts Clark College on Saturday at Noon at Dolphin Field on the SCC Campus. Clark is a counting Northern Region game, as the NWAACC North and South regions play this year in mandatory games that count in both regions standings.

Angela Celedon Scores Three Goals As SCC Routs SWOCC 5-0
Freshman Angela Celedon scored three goals for the Lady Dolphins as the SCC Women's Soccer Team pounded Southwestern Oregon Community College on Saturday in Coos Bay, OR 5-0. Laura Schoonover recorded her 3rd shutout of the season as the goalkeeper.

Sara Gilmore and Maria Reyes each added a goal on penalty kicks and Reyes, Rebekah Hansen and Ashley Cole had assists in the match.

Shoreline's record improves to 3-2-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the Northern Region. SCC faces rival and defending Northern Region Champion, Everett Community College, on Wednesday in Everett at 2:00pm.

SCC Names Angela Celedon SCC Women's Soccer Player of the Week:
The Shoreline Community College Athletic Department named Angela Celedon, the SCC Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of September 3-9.

Celedon scored the lone goal in the Lady Dolphin 1-0 victory over Clackamas Community College on September 8th. SCC went 2-1 at the time.

SCC is 2-2 on the season and plays SW Oregon Community College today at Noon.

SCC Women's And Men's Soccer At SW Oregon Today
The Shoreline Community College Soccer Teams are on the road today at Coos Bay, OR, to face Southwestern Oregon Community College. Today's games count in the Northern Region standings as mandatory crossover matches between the NWAACC Northern Region and Southern Region.

The Lady Dolphins are 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the region standings hope to improve today against the 0-3 Lakers who have been outscored 18 to 1 in their
 3 games so far. SCC dropped a 3-1 match on Tuesday against Trinity Lutheran College, a four year college in Everett, WA.

The Dolphin's men team hopes to pick up its first win of the season, as SCC is 0-4 on the early season and faces a 1-2 Laker team that has allowed 13 goals in the 3 games. SCC dropped a 6-2 match to Trinity Lutheran on Tuesday as well.

Both SCC teams face their first NWAACC Northern Region game on Wednesday against Everett Community College on the road before returning home on Saturday, September 22 to face Clark College.

SCC Women's Soccer Team Drops Match To Trinity Lutheran:
The Lady Dolphin Soccer Team dropped a 3-1 match to Trinity Lutheran College on Tuesday afternoon at Dolphin Field on the SCC Camps.

SCC jumped out to an early lead, on a goal by Elle Blume with an assistant by Maria Celedon. But TLC bounced back 8 minutes later to tie the score and then take a lead 6 minutes after that. The Eagles scored an insurance goal late in the second half to take the match 3-1.

Trinity improves it record to 2-7 on the season while the Lady Dolphins leveled their record at 2-2.

Shoreline travels to Coos Bay, Oregon on Saturday to play Southwestern Oregon Community College at Noon.

SCC Women's Soccer Wins Home Opener Over Clackamas
The Lady Dolphin Soccer Team won its home opener 1-0 over Clackamas Community College for Oregon. Angela Celedon scored a goal a 11 minutes into the match and the SCC defense made it hold as Lauren Schoonover completed a shut-out (her second in three games) as the SCC goal keeper.

The win moves the Lady Dolphins to 2-1 on the season and Clackamas drops to 1-2.

The SCC squad faces Trinity Lutheran College on Tuesday at 2:00pm at Dolphin Field again.

SCC Names Kayla Browne "Women's Soccer Player of the Week"

The Shoreline Community College Athletic Department named Kayla Browne the Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the Week of August 27-September 2.

Browne, a freshman from Monroe High School, in Monroe, WA scored three goals in two games at the NWAACC Friendlies Tournament. She scored the lone SCC goal in a 2-1 loss to Columbia Basin College on August 28 and then scored two goals in a 5-0 win over Tacoma Community College on August 29.

SCC is 1-1 on the season and plays Saturday, September 8th at Dolphin Field on the SCC campus at Noon vs Clackamas College. The game can been seen on the SCC Online Channel at http://livestre.am/11rVr
