Film Club - Jane Winslow, Advisor, jwinslow@shoreline.edu
The Shoreline Community College Film Club got its charter the Winter of 2002. Its goal is to be a forum for all interested students who wish to explore the many and varied aspects of the cinema. The club is active in supporting its members in their creative endeavors, and in providing the opportunity for networking and making connections with film industry professionals. The Film Club is a great place to get information on jobs in the industry, what jobs are out there and how to get them. To help mitigate this goal, they plan to explore different avenues of filmmaking, from screenwriting to lighting. They hold discussions on film making techniques and also provide some hands-on learning. Through out the year, workshops and guest speakers are in the line-up. Production of student films is also on their list.
