AFA - fine arts

Associate in Fine Arts Degree  Curriculum Options

Students pursuing the AFA degree have two options of study. 

Students seeking a broad and diverse program of study can complete the Foundation Studio Art Track. While others with a clear interest in photography can complete the Photography Track.

It is possible to complete this degree within a two-year time span with registration continuing through Summer quarters. Students interested in pursuing the AFA degree are strongly advised to contact an art advisor at the beginning of the program and throughout the course of their degree.

The Associate in fine Arts degree from Shoreline Community College can lead you to:

Personal artistic development

Employment in arts-related areas such as galleries and community art centers

Careers in Art Therapy and Arts Management when combined with other areas of study like Counseling or Business Management

A broad-based education offering greater 
opportunities in many challenging directions

Bachelor in Fine Arts Programs in Visual Arts including:

Photography = Architecture - Graphic Design Sculpture - Fashion Design = Art Education
Art History - Painting - Interior Design Ceramics - Animation - Illustration
Industrial Design
