Fine Arts Degree

Fine Arts Degree
Students seeking a two-year degree in the Fine Arts can tailor an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree to meet their academic needs. For those seeking a four-year degree in fine arts, this option allows the student to concentrate on a major of study or specialization. The degree meets all the requirements for a transfer degree but does not guarantee admission to a specific major. Portfolio presentation is usually the determining factor in acceptance for a Fine Art Major.
. The degree has two tracks, a concentration in Photography requiring total program credits of 107– 109 and a concentration in Foundation Studio Art requiring total program credits of 104 – 105. This AAS degree option does require additional credits and it is strongly encouraged that you meet with an art faculty advisor to plan their program.

Courses on the provided planning sheets are for reference only. All Art/VCT degree course requirements are reviewed and updated regularly. Please see an Art/VCT faculty advisor for
up-to-date information and requirements.
