Come to Shoreline, make your impression
Welcome to the Visual Arts Center at Shoreline Community College.
At the Visual Arts Center we have flexible and integrated certificate and degree options that support student success. You can decide where you fit in.
It's your choice
The Visual Arts Center's broad range of Studio Art and Art History courses support foundation skills for professional technical programs in Visual Communications Technology as well as students transferring to four year colleges and those who are life-long learners. Students take an integrated program of foundation courses in art and design and can choose from a range of employment options to suit their personal needs. You can complete short-term certificates or two-year degrees, or add multiple specializations to your degree
We encourage you to come and tour the facility, get to know our programs, faculty and students at any time.
The Cost Advantage at Shoreline
On average, the cost per credit for an AAS or AAAS degree from Shoreline is 55% less than at state universities and much less than private art schools and institutes. That's a savings of over $80 per credit for the same course work, recognition and preparation for transfer to an advanced degree institution.
Courses on the provided planning sheets (use the path buttons upper left) are for reference only. All Art/VCT degree course requirements are reviewed and updated regularly. Please see an Art/VCT faculty advisor for up-to-date information and requirements.
