Shoreline Community College operates a Testing/Assessment Center at Lake Forest Park providing certification and skill assessment services for students, workers, and employers.

Testing Center hours are Mondays 10 am -1:30 pm;
Wednesdays 4 – 7:30 pm;
and Saturdays 9 am -12:30 pm. Hours are subject to change please call to verify (206) 533-6713.

COMPASS Testing

The COMPASS computerized assessment is now available at Lake Forest Park. The fee to take the COMPASS test is $15. You may bring a receipt from the Cashier’s Office (on main campus or Lake Forest Park) showing payment of $15 or bring payment at the time of testing please bring exact change or check.

No appointment for testing is necessary; seating is first-come, first-served. There will be a sign up sheet posted 1/2 hour before test start times. Please arrive early, and bring your Student ID or Social Security Number with you. COMPASS start times are generally (Please call (206) 533-6713 to be sure we are open):

• Mondays: 11:00 a.m.
• Wednesdays: 5:00 p.m.
• Saturdays: 10:00 a.m.

CLEP - College Level Exam Program

CLEP is a national program which makes it easier for students of all ages to complete their degree more quickly.  CLEP testing is available for 35 subjects and credit is awarded by 2900 colleges and universities.

To schedule a CLEP exam go to www.collegeboard.com/CLEP, print the Admission/Registration form, fill it out and mail to:
