- Think
about someone you know who is successful. In what ways is this person
successful? How much of this person's success is due to luck, and how much
is due to hard work? Write an essay in which you describe a
successful person. Explain whether you think luck, talent, or hard
work is most important to his/her success. Use specific details that support
your thesis.
- Think about a time when you were
being vulgar, being ignorant, harmful and doing something popular. What were
you doing that was vulgar? Why was it vulgar? Show your action(s) in
specific detail.
- Have you ever lived in or around an
area that has been affected by development? Was it industrial development,
commercial development, or residential development? Explain in specific
detail if it was negative, positive, or both?
