Appeals
Instructions For Appeal Of Traffic & Parking Citations
Per Washington Administrative Code
WAC 132G-116-285, all appeals must be submitted in writing, on
the appropriate form, within five (5) working days of the date of
citation(s). The Director of Safety and Security is authorized to;
let stand, dismiss, suspend, or impose a lesser fine on citations
appealed.
(Appeal forms are located in the Safety & Security office in the
5000 building, room 5102, and are now available on-line at
http://www.shoreline.edu/safetyandsecurity.)
It is the appellant’s responsibility to contact the Security Office
in the 5000 building, room 5102 - (tel. 206.546.4633) to find out
the results of the appeal. (WE DO NOT
CONTACT YOU)
Please allow five working days after you submit your appeal before
checking on the results. The Director Safety and Security has the
final authority in fines of $50.00 or less.
For fines that are greater than $50.00 after appeal: The appellant may appeal
the Director of Security’s decision to the Vice-President for
Student Services within ten working days of the citation date. The
appellant must make an appointment to see the Vice-President for
Student Services by calling 206.546.4641.
The decision of the Vice-President for Student Services in any
appeal is final.
NOTE: Previous unpaid parking or traffic fines my hold up the appeal
process.
