As a new member of Phi Theta Kappa-Pi Iota chapter, you will receive a gold key
membership pin. The gold key has been a symbol of academic excellence for our
organization for over 80 years. At Shoreline’s graduation ceremony, you
will have the privilege of wearing a monogrammed honors stole, tassel and honor
cord. In recognition for your academic achievements. Also, for
joining Phi Theta Kappa, you will be given a gold embossed certificate and
wallet-sized ID card as proof of your achievement.
As an international member, you could be eligible for $32 million in transfer
Scholarships
offered by over 550 different 4-year colleges and universities.
You will receive a copy of 3.5 Plus, Phi Theta Kappa’s literary journal. Phi
Theta Kappa also has an international literary honors anthology, Nota Bene.
Members are encouraged to submit writings to the anthology for publication.
Outstanding submissions can win scholarships. Please refer to the
International Phi Theta Kappa website for further details.
Government Internships are available at the national level. Please refer to the
International website for more information.
As a member, you will automatically be nominated for the National Dean’s List
publication - which could lead to more scholarships.
You can enroll as part of the Phi Theta Kappa Network. As part of the network
you have online access to career and scholarship search engines, academic
services and even discounts!
