Festival of Learning
Shoreline Community College invites the public to a
festival to celebrate student learning & program success
Shoreline, WA — Shoreline Community College holds its second annual Shoreline
Splash: A Festival of Learning, an open house to showcase student learning and
the academic accomplishments of students. The event will be held from 6 to 9
p.m., Friday, May 12th. Learn about College academic programs, clubs, study
abroad opportunities and more while enjoying a number of student performances. A
global dessert dock will feature a free smorgasbord of desserts from local
restaurants.
Many of the featured performances will take place on the Splash stage in the
PUB main dining room, with College bands performing between 6:00 and 9:00 p.m.
The popular singing group, Funkngroove, will also perform from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m.
and between other acts. Student drama, vocal, instrumental and dance
performances will be made between 6 and 8:30 p.m. Poetry, spoken word, hip hop
and acoustic music performances will be made in the PUB Staff Lounge and the
Splash Film Fest in the 1000 Building Board Room will feature video and film
shorts created by SCC students. The Shoreline Expo, located in the PUB Canteen,
will feature display tables on academic programs, club activities, class
projects and study abroad cultural experiences. Students and faculty will be on
hand to answer questions.
