Also known as "Elements of Statistical Methods"

Instructor: Mike Story (mstory AT shoreline DOT edu)
Office Hours: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 11:50-1:00, in 5366.

Class meets Mondays-Thursdays, 9:00-10:15, in room 2911.

Download and read the syllabus, as an MS Word file or as a pdf. You may also find helpful this handy document giving short instructions on how to use various abilities of a TI-83 or TI-84.

New! It probably comes too late to help you, but I just came across an online statistics textbook that I have browsed through just a little and seems pretty interesting. It is definitely way more technical than our textbook -- depending on your perspective, this may be good or bad -- but it is also definitely more in-depth than our textbook, which is almost certainly good.

Homeworks A-E are available here. Homeworks F-H are now available too ( .pdf / .docx ).  Homeworks I-K. (.pdf / .docx ). Homeworks L-O (.pdf / .docx). Homeworks P-R (.pdf / .docx)

Start studying for this week's final exam, with these review problems and their solutions. In reviewing it this morning, though, I see that it may not actually be incredibly helpful. You should also look at the 'recommended' problems from past homework assignments and various handouts from the last few weeks. Also, take a look at this quick multiple choice quiz which covers a few things we've talked about this quarter.
