Wolfe Named NWAACC Northern Region MVP
Sophomore Greg Wolfe
was named the Most Valuable Player in the NWAACC Northern Region for men's
soccer in 2011. The defenseman from Oak Harbor High School help lead SCC to a
final four appearance in the NWAACC Soccer Championship in 2010, but the SCC
squad in 2011 fell to a 2-16-1 record, but coaches in the region voted Greg to
the highest honor in the region based on his individual skills.
Wolfe was named a co-captain for
the team in 2011 and will play in the NWAACC Men's Soccer All-Star game on
Sunday at the Starfire Complex in Tukwila, WA.

Amadou Senghore Named SCC Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Amadou Senghore, a freshman international student from Gambia, was named the final SCC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for 2011. Senghore, who only joined the team about halfway through the season and was injured much of the time, came off the bench to score a goal for SCC against Whatcom CC on Wednesday, to tie the match, but SCC lost the contest in the final minute of the game. Senghore scored 3 goals for SCC in his limited time with the time.
The Dolphins had a tough season finishing 2-16-1, after reaching the NWAACC Final Four in 2010.

SCC Men's Soccer Drops 1-0 Match To Edmonds To Finish Season
The Shoreline Men's Soccer Team dropped a 1-0 match on Saturday at Dolphin Field on the SCC campus to finish a long and tough season. SCC dominated the second half, but could not muster a goal to tie the game. Edmonds scored in the 11th minute of the game and survived multiple SCC attacks and corner kicks, but the Dolphins could not find the net.
SCC finished the season, 2-16-1, 2-11-0 in the NWAACC Northern Region. SCC finished 2010 as Northern Region Champs and reached the semi-finals of the NWAACC Championship, but could not find the offense in 2011 to reach those levels again. Edmonds is 9-8-1 overall and 7-5-1 in the region and will either win or share the Northern Region championship.

SCC Men's Soccer Drops 2-1 Match To Whatcom In Final Minute

The SCC Men's Soccer Team lost a 2-1 match on Wednesday to
Whatcom CC in Bellingham, WA. WCC jumped out in front at the end of the 1st
half with a goal at the 45 minute mark. SCC tied the match on a goal by Amadou
Senghore in the 63rd minute but SCC allowed a goal in the 90th minute for the
loss.
SCC falls to 2-15-1 on the
season, 2-10-0 in the NWAACC Northern Region. Whatcom moves to 7-6-1 overall
and 6-5-2 in the region. WCC is in first placed in the region. SCC ends its
season on Saturday against Edmonds Community College at 2:00 PM.

Bryan Wright Named SCC's Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Sophomore Bryan Wright from Ballard High School in Seattle, has been named SCC Men's Soccer Player of the Week. Wright allowed only one goal against Everett CC on Saturday at the Dolphin Field, in a 0-1 loss to the Trojans.
SCC faces Whatcom and Edmonds to finish the season next week. Whatcom on the road Wednesday and Edmonds at home on Saturday.
