Shoreline Community College Men's Soccer Ends Season on Loss to Skagit Valley College
300_2626s.jpg
Shoreline Community College Men's Soccer had a tough end to their season against Skagit Valley College at Dolphin Field today. The Dolphins suffered a 8-1 loss. Through watching the game you would have never known there was such a large differential in the score as both teams continued to push hard.

Playing on a muddy field proved to be difficult and it took both teams sown time to get used to the difference in how the ball traveled. In the 28th minute Skagit Valley College  found their spot and Bradley Diaz scored the first goal of the game on Dolphin goalie Marco Martinez. Shoreline's Tsupasa Takahashi converted on a penalty kick shot in th 42nd minute to tie the game up 1-1.

Skagit Valley  score six of their eight goals in the in second half of the game. Without much pressure from the Dolphin forwards in the second half Skagit Valley players pushed up significantly. This gave opportunity for defenders like Sten Mejlander to score. SVC was playing well as a team and had eight different players scoring goals.

This will end the season for both Shoreline and Skagit Valley. Neither of these teams will be moving on to playoffs. The teams have a season to be proud of. They both ended today on a high note in leaving everything on the field during this very high energy and passionate game.
