Math Learning Center

The Math Learning Center (MLC) is an extra-help resource for courses offered by Shoreline's Math Department and in BUS 102. The MLC provides individual assistance on a drop-in basis from qualified tutors devoted to your success.  It also provides books, solution manuals, calculators, computers, and other materials for you to use in the MLC.  No appointment is necessary.  Come see us today!

Services for Shoreline Mathematics Faculty

Calculator Rental Program

If you require a graphing calculator for a math course and do not wish to purchase one, you may decide to rent a calculator from the Bookstore.  The rental fee is $20 per quarter, plus tax.  Students may rent for the entire quarter with proof of paid registration.

  • Place to give make-up tests for your students (please make sure your student knows the MLC is not a silent environment before using this option, and that a photo ID is required)
  • Extra graphing calculators with view screens
  • Cork boards to post class materials (let the Director know if you want board space)
  • Fun and helping aids for classroom activities
  • You may hold some or all of your office hours in the MLC
  • Joy of observing your students working hard!
