Things to Know About Financial Aid
Receiving
Your Financial Aid Funds
Grants, Waiver and Direct Loan funds apply directly towards tuition
and applicable fees. You must first be registered for the number of
credits for which you are receiving financial aid. Loan funds apply
after all steps in the loan process have been completed. Any
remaining funds are available as a check made payable to the
student. Checks are available starting
the second day of the each quarter.
All debts owed to the College, such
as parking tickets or library fines must be paid before students can
receive their check. After a quarter begins, it can take 7-10
days for a check to become available.
Checks must be picked up by the end
of the quarter or they will be cancelled.
Students should start each quarter
with some of their own funds to pay for books and other expenses, as
financial aid checks are not available until after the quarter starts.
Forms
A complete set of forms for financial aid submission is available
online. You will need to print these, complete them, and mail or
bring them to the Financial Aid office.
Withdrawing
If a student receives financial aid, either by picking up a check
and/or having tuition and fees paid for by financial ad, they are
expected to complete credits for which they were funded.
Students who have received financial aid and needing to withdraw should
contact the financial aid office.
