- I am a Math and Chemistry Placement Advisor, which means that I can answer your questions about math placement, review your test scores and/or college-university transcripts and authorize placement according to our stated prerequisites. If you have taken the COMPASS or ASSET test, once those scores are entered into Shoreline’s registration database, you are able to register for the resulting placement and do not need to talk to a Math Placement Advisor.

Other Math Placement Advisors are the
full-time Math Faculty and the Dean of the Science Division. If you

121 or 171 and need to contact a placement advisor, please contact
one of the Chemistry Faculty.
