Helen Hancock has been a mathematics instructor at Shoreline Community College for many years. A graduate of the University of Florida she went on to receive a masters at Western Carolina University. In her personal time, Helen likes to travel the United States and the world, soaking in the beauty and history. She recently made her first trip to Washington, DC. To Helen, learning is a life-long activity that involves an appreciation of art, history, and an understanding of many cultures. Sailing in the Pacific Northwest has long been a passion. She finds joy in calm sunsets, and big windstorms. A long time resident of Seattle, Helen offers this advice to her students: "Study while it rains. New ideas soak in better. " |
