Order Form
SCC Foundation Cards for College program is an
easy way to help raise funds to support the
Foundation’s mission by purchasing prepaid gift
cards and certificates to businesses you
frequent or purchase as gifts for others.
These are the same gift cards and certificates
that merchants sell directly to their customers.
The SCC Foundation is able to purchase these
cards at a discount. The discounts, typically 2
- 15% is revenue for the SCC Foundation
Rather than paying cash for your groceries, gas,
clothes, gifts and meals out; purchase gift
cards through the SCC Foundation Cards for
College program.

turn it into the
SCC Foundation
office - room
1005, by 4pm on
due date.

be accompanied
with payment in
full in the form
of cash or check
made out to SCC
Foundation.

The Cards for College
program is a new fundraising
program for the SCC
Foundation. It’s the
fundraising program that
works while you shop.
Through the purchase of
scrip you can help our
students and programs. Scrip
is simply a word that means
“substitute money” – in
other words, scrip is gift
cards and certificates from
national and local
retailers. They’re the same
gift cards and certificates
that you buy at the store.
Many popular retailers
participate in our scrip
program including JC Penney,
The Gap, Shell, amazon.com,
Jack in the Box and many,
many others.
You’re probably asking
yourself how these stores
help us raise money. It’s
simple -- scrip
participating retailers
agree to sell gift
certificates to our
organization at a discount.
You purchase the
certificates for full face
value, you redeem them for
full face value, and the SCC
Foundation keeps the
difference as revenue.
The beauty of scrip is that
you can put your regular
household shopping dollars
to work. You earn money for
our students and programs
without spending a single
additional penny. Just
spend your regular shopping
dollars with scrip at the
stores that participate in
the scrip program. And
scrip can be used for just
about any household purchase
including food, clothing,
entertainment, gasoline and
even dining out.
This is also a great and
easy way to
shop for gifts. Whether
purchasing for family and
friends near or far,
purchasing gift cards to
their favorite merchants
couldn’t be easier. A
gift card is easier to wrap
and less expensive to mail!
If you don’t know what size,
what style or what brand to
get – a gift card is the
perfect answer. A gift card
allows the individual to
pick out something special
them self.
