Financial Aid: Loans and Grants

Several types of grants, tuition waivers and loans are available. Federal student loans must be repaid and are available to students who qualify by applying through the FAFSA, completing the Shoreline Financial Aid Data Sheet and the separate loan processes used by Shoreline CC. The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is completed on the web at: www.fafsa.ed.gov, using a Personal Identification Number requested at www.pin.ed.gov. Shoreline Community College does not use private lenders for federal student loans. Most students are encouraged to apply for FAFSA assistance, even if they may not think they will qualify or need assistance. The federal parent PLUS loan not based on need is available for parents of dependent students. A loan program is also available to students in the nursing program. > More
