I joined Shoreline Community College in the fall of 1998 and teach purchasing, materials management, contract administration, logistics and transportation, and other business administration courses. Previously, I taught purchasing, marketing, and production management at Elizabethtown College, Pennsylvania State University, Edmonds Community College, and Arizona State University. I am also the author of three reference books and numerous articles about purchasing, inventory control and supply chain management.
Prior to joining Shoreline, I was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM) for eighteen years, retiring in 1998. NAPM is a not-for-profit association providing purchasing and supply management research, education, and certification.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
