Whidbey’s Coffee Shack heading out
Bid a fond farewell to your favorite campus baristas when you have the chance, because the Whidbey’s coffee shack will be closing down on March 14.

After hearing about the upcoming closure, SCC student Tara Bensch spoke up. “I think it sucks,” she said, with an iced coffee in hand.

“The one problem that I have with the shack closing down is that I have been working here for almost two years and I have developed great relationships with teachers and students,” said barista Leonie Morris. “Whidbey is basically like family for everyone."

But fret not, dear caffeine and baked goods enthusiasts. Chartwells food services will be available on March 31 as Spring Quarter 2008 leaps into gear. They’ll get you trucking along with a new selection of coffee, tea, soup and pastries.
