Kamrai Thai
Who needs to travel to the east when you can
walk a couple of blocks to get to Kamrai Thai
Cuisine? The establishment may look petite
from the outside, standing alone on the corner
of Linden Avenue and North 160th St., but inside,
you’re greeted instantly with an aroma of
exotic spices. Rich flavors will flood your tongue
with each bite, whether you’re ordering for culinary
spice or sultry. I highly recommend giving
the beef pad thai a go. Just remember to aim
for two stars if you’re looking for spice, because
three and above are really hard kicks that your
tongue might be unable to handle.
Located at Linden Ave. and N. 160th St.
Price: $7 to $10

Qdoba
Walk through the transparent doors of this
complex and you’ll be greeted with a healthy
(yet hearty) array of delectable Hispanic delight.
Affordable pricing will also catch your
eye. Selections range from spicy, vegetarian
tortilla soup to sirloin burritos the size of a naked
mole rat. Better yet, why not take a dip into
the three cheese nachos or Mexican gumbo? I’d
pick Qdoba over a fast food joint any day.
Located at 100th St. and Aurora Ave.
Price: up to $10

Old Country Buffet
At the Old Country Buffet everyday brings a
special dish like teriyaki chicken, while the main
menu stays the same. The usual menu contains
burgers, tacos, baked chicken and fish, mashed
potatoes, veggies, and salad dishes. One good
thing about this restaurant is they make small
amount of food but refill the buffet containers
as soon as the food runs out. This keeps all the
dishes fresh. However, the steaks are not juicy
enough and several dishes aren’t as good as
they look. Still, the cheap price and ever changing
daily special compensate for the steaks.
Located at N. 130th Street & Aurora Avenue
N.
Hours: 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Mon- Fri; 11
a.m. to 9 p.m. Sat-Sun.

Super China Buffet: All you can eat
Who could have ever imagined that there’s an
affordable Chinese buffet near Central Market?
The Super China Buffet is just a thirty second
walk from the Sears’ parking lot. It’s on the
south of Central market, behind U.S. Bank but
it might be hard to be find. As the name suggests,
it has various foods ranging from Chinese
Meins to Japanese style seafoods. The fried
dishes are nice and the seafood is reasonably
priced. Oyster dishes are recommended and
the California rolls are good too. A to go menu
is also available.
Opens seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10
p.m.
Price: $7.45 to $12.95
