Goodbye Shoreline
Chaim Eliyah
Staff Writer
I can't help but feel sentimental about leaving
Shoreline Community College, so I thought I'd write about it in my last
article.
I come from a low-income family. I started college at 18 before my
mother had a stroke. I rescued her from Colorado Springs and brought her to
Seattle. She and my father moved from an apartment to a seniors-only
location in April 2001.

PUB information lacking
Miko Calivo
Associate Editor
The present student government
and student government teams since the vote to enact the PUB Renovation Fee

News article
missing all sides of argument
Dear Editor,
I am extremely confused by
Jonathan Lavigne's recent article, "UCC a 'must' for club members." Mr.
Lavigne attended several meetings in which the Executive Board and Senate

conspicuously absent. A balanced article would represent all sides of the
issue, but Lavigne's efforts only serve to misrepresent Student
Government.

section, which, in this issue, dealt exclusively with sex.

Clarification for the Pop Culture Genius
Dear Editor,
I
wish to clarify the assertions made in "Thicker than Water". The harassment
and abuse Robbie suffered was not justified. Neither was the abuse of
Michelle and Christine suffered at the hands of their father. Why did no one
stop the abuse? Why did no one befriend Michelle? Michelle fell in love with
her sister Christine [because] Christine was the only one who loved her
back. This would have been less likely if her father had treated her with
love instead of contempt. Something could have been salvaged if only someone
knew of and reported the abuse.
