Smoking ban passes

Shoreline Community College (SCC) might face changes to its smoking
policy when I-901, passed in the November election, goes into effect Dec.
8.
According to I-901, smoking is now prohibited in all public places and
all workplaces.

Snow has come and gone

A freak natural occurrence closed Shoreline
Community College when a little over an inch of snow fell on campus grounds.
Evening classes were cancelled and the Funkngroove concert was postponed as
well. Maintenance crews were sent to clear the pathways but with the
snowfall ending in the early evening, the college was not re-opened until
the next day.

this accident; the driver made it to class.

Way, Nov. 23. White said that the driver of the vehicle had fallen asleep at

Fundraising for the First Nations Club

Being pro-active on campus, the First Nations Club is trying to raise
funds to buy a Pendleton blanket and different woodcarvings for Shoreline
Community College. Andrea Morris from the First Nations Club sat in front of
the All-Campus Budget meeting collecting whatever donations people were
willing to give her. "We collected around $70," she said. The targeted funds
are in the area of $5,000.

Students to be selected for search committee

Three students will be chosen to serve on the Presidential Selection Committee to find a new president for Shoreline
Community College (SCC).
SCC Student Body President Elliot Newlin will select the students based off of applications submitted. The three
student body representatives will join 11 staff members (faculty, exempt staff, and classified staff) on the committee.
