I would like to offer a correction from the last Ebbtide issue. In the article entitled ‘A President for All to View,” it was stated that, “One of the most crucial roles played by the student body last year was their participation in the talks to not renew the contract to Dr. Holly Moore…” (paragraph 2, last line). That was a mischaracterization of our role. We, the student government, did not actually participate in the talks to not renew her contract. We were simply outspoken enough to vividly highlight our concerns around the administration. Our speaking up provided a large body of evidence that may have convinced the Board of their decision, but we were not actively part of the decision making process.
