I want to go to Europe. I want to rub shoulders with royalty. I want to critique the greatest artwork in the world and tell onlookers what the artist could have done better. And most importantly, I want to eat the food. Mmm… Doughnuts…
I want to do all of these things and more, but I’m just a student. Europe just isn’t accessible to me right now. Or so I thought. Because of Shoreline Community College’s (SCC) Study Abroad program, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas are all within easy reach of even me. And that is something to be happy about.

Engineering Students Powered by Paper:

Every year more than 15 colleges compete at Eastern Washington University in the human paper product powered vehicle contest. The 2005 competition took place on April 30.
The challenge is to make a vehicle out of a paper compound that is at least 90 percent paper and weighs less than 75 pounds. The vehicle must be powered by energy exerted by a person. The contest is designed to give engineering majors an opportunity to apply their knowledge from class to a real-world type situation.

Twenty-Fourth Annual Sunfest

Sunfest, Shoreline Community College’s annual celebration of the “rites of spring,” will be staged for the 24th consecutive year on May 16-19 with a grab bag of club sponsored activities, children riding tricycles, outdoor concerts, and student awards. Events are open to the public, and offer student participants the opportunity to earn the coveted Sunfest T-shirt.

It’s heating up around here, so throw on your snorkel gear, swim trunks and attend SPLASH, Shoreline Community College’s (SCC) first multicultural all-campus learning festival.
SPLASH is scheduled for May 13, 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m., in venues throughout the PUB. Students, faculty, family, and friends are encouraged to join in this event that brings light to campus clubs, activities, and organizations.
