Go see Clinic, Apples in Sterio, and Kaito Oct. 8 at the Showbox. $12 adv. At Fastixx $15 DOS, doors at 8 p.m. Clinic is Radiohead's favorite band so it should be yours too. The band performs there whole set of melodic, trancy, electro-pop wearing medical scrubs; it's quite the sight.

Go see Queens of the Stone Age, Dillinger Escape plan, and Icarus line Oct. 9 at the Showbox. $17 adv. at Fastixx $20 DOS, doors at 7 p.m. show at 8. The Queens just released the best album of their lives and are going on the road just to rub it in. It will be fun to see Dave Grohl behind the drums again, and Mark Lanegan is now a full time member as secondary vocalist.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, YOU WRITE IT!!!

Hi there, I am the Arts and Entertainment Editor for the Ebbtide.

I'm writing this, not only as an introduction, but also as an invitation to you as the reader to submit your works and criticisms.

I will try my best to appeal to your needs as readers of the Ebbtide, but also ask that you make your personal tastes clear to me so that I can better address the music, movies, television, and happenings that interest you most. I will also accept any reviews, pictures, poetry, funny short stories, or anything else that pertains to the A&E column.

I plan to keep my section so that it appeals to a wide variety of people, and in order to do that I need your feedback and submissions.

Send your submissions and feedback to Brian Kerin at a_e_webbtide@yahoo.com
Attend Tony Hawk's Boom-Boom Huck Jam Oct. 10 at the Tacoma dome. Tickets are $25, $40, and (what!) $75 at Ticketmaster. Athletes from pro skateboarding, BMX and motocross will all be navigating the ramps while the Offspring plays acts as the soundtrack. Tickets are a little pricey and the Offspring arenŐt the ideal band, but Tony Hawk is the best skateboarder to ever live and he might just try and attempt the 900 if you're lucky.

Go see Southern Culture on the Skid, with the Forty-Five, and Throwrag Oct. 11 at the Showbox. $13 adv. at Fastixx $15 DOS, doors at 8 p.m. A bit of twang just minus the country; imagine country music performed by non-hick folk.
