Thanks for visiting!/>
My
name is Diana Knauf, professor of Psychology at
Shoreline since 1998. I am a developmental psychologist
who received my Ph.D. at Fordham University in New York
City. I teach a variety of subjects both face-to-face
and online (General Psychology, Lifespan Development,
Adulthood, Grief, Loss and Recovery, Social Psychology
and Human Sexuality).
At present, I teach virtually from Shanghai, China.
Known for being a bit silly, I have occasionally served
as Shoreline's mascot Dolphie, frequently break into a
Monty Python routine or generally smile at everyone I
see because I am too vain to wear my glasses.
I love working with students and enjoy helping
students figure out where they want to go in life and
how they might get there.
Hello students! Bienvenidos! Welcome to the virtual
advising page! I thought it would be a good idea to
write a few lines about me. My name is Aura and I am
originally from Lima, Peru. I speak fluent Spanish and
English when I am not too tired to type. I enjoy my work
at Shoreline Community College helping students and
assisting them in their educational journey.
I've lived in the Pacific Northwest now for 20 years
and consider myself a Washingtonian. I have passed the
tests! I've survived a sunless summer, gone geoduck
hunting, and felt sad, uneasy and afraid when it did not
rain! I like outdoor activities such as biking, hiking
and walking. My indoor hobbies include cooking, reading,
singing and dancing.
I am looking forward for this experience of
E-Advising. I hope to hear from you soon!
Hello SCC students my name is Alicia, but as the Paul
Simon song proclaims, "You Can Call Me Al." My primary
responsibility at Shoreline Community College is as a
full-time adviser for the Humanities Division. I
consider myself extremely fortunate, as I have the
pleasure of interacting with the artists, writers,
musicians, communicators and philosophers of this world!
I also provide career and personal counseling for all
students through Shoreline Community College's Advising
and Counseling Center. During my free time, I enjoy
teaching two classes (HMDV 130 & 140), attending school
as a reflexology student, volunteering as a coordinator
for organic farming initiatives on Orcas Island,
traveling abroad as often as possible, and playing in
the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest.
Serving as your virtual advisor shall be an
incredible honor and learning experience!
