Blackboard is the web-based course management software used by Shoreline Community College faculty to deliver online instruction. Your instructors may be using this software to offer a class completely online, partially online (as a Hybrid), or they might be using Blackboard to enhance their course with online resources.

If you are registered for a course that will be using Blackboard and you have not used Blackboard before, consider attending one of the following voluntary sessions on the Shoreline campus. These orientation sessions last about 50 minutes.  These sessions are recommended but not required.  There is no need to register--just come and drop-in. Please bring your student identification number (SID) that can be found on your SCC student card or on your registration materials.  Your SID is a 9 digit number that starts with 965.  Sessions cover the following topics:

• Learn how to login with your Bb user account,
• Access and get started in your online classroom,
• See a brief overview of the tools and features available in the Blackboard classroom,
• Get your questions answered.
