An Orientation to Blackboard's Assignment Tool

(On DVD)

To begin, have an assignment ready in an electronic file that you wish to upload to your Blackboard classroom. You can watch / listen to the DVD while looking at your own computer screen and at the agenda while logged into Blackboard.  The computer screen is a little hard to see on the DVD for this one, but the audio is good.

Getting Started Teaching Online Using Blackboard

(On DVD)

Get started in a web-based classroom in Blackboard, the software that SCC uses for its online, hybrid, and face-to-face classes.   In Part I, you will login to Bb and learn how to get a Bb classroom and make it available to students.  Please have your employee ID ready (a 9 digit number that begins with 965.  Call HR, x 4769, if you do not know what that number is.) In Part II, we will discuss course design/organization and you will learn how to add content (a folder and a file), an announcement, and a gradebook item.

You can watch / listen to the DVD while looking at your own computer screen and at the agenda while logged into Bb. You will want access to the following Blackboard classrooms: Blackboard Users Group, Bb Orientation Demonstration Classroom, and Lesson Based Course Template . Contact  eLearning Services at eLearning@shoreline.edu and we will add you to these classrooms and then you can get started.
