Homework 2 (Due Friday, Sep. 28)

—Chapter 1 Review Exercise (p. 84-146): 1-145 EOO

—On a sheet of paper write down three resources and their contact information that you can (and hopefully will) use on a regular basis when you get stuck on your homework assignments.  These can be classmates, the MLC, friends who know the material, outside help, etc.  (I, of course, will not be contacting the resources you list.

Homework 1 (Due Wednesday, September 26):
This is a special homework assignment to help you evaluate where you might need help.

1. Work through the Chapter 1 Test (p. 89-91).  DON’T LOOK AT THE ANSWERS UNTIL YOU ARE COMPLETELY FINISHED AND CONFIDENT IN YOUR WORK.

2. Look at the answers in the back of the book.  Mark each problem correct or incorrect.

3. On a separate piece of paper work through the problems you missed.

4. Write down the areas which you think you might have trouble with.

5. Turn it in Wednesday.  This will only be graded on whether you’ve done it or not.  While you should do your best, I will not be evaluating your actual performance.  This is for you to learn where you are strong and weak.  If you are weak in an area, I suggest working more problems in that area.  If you are weak in a lot of areas, consider taking Math 70 instead.
