Student Fees

In addition to tuition, students should expect to pay additional fees for parking, student activities, lab supplies, technology, and other fees.

Audit Fee
See the Tuition Chart.  The Audit Fee is the same.

Credit by Examination (Challenge)
Per credit hour: $10. Contact the appropriate instructional division office for more information.

Parking Fees
Daytime parking permits are $25 per quarter and are available at the Cashier's Office in the 5200 (FOSS) Building. Evening parking (after 4 p.m.) is $10 per quarter. A charge of $1 per day or evening may be paid at the entry gate by students who do not wish to purchase a parking permit.

Special Fees
Many classes require special fees for equipment, laboratory use, materials or personal instruction. Such fees will be listed in the quarterly class schedule. A special selection process fee will be required when applying to certain programs.

Student Union Renovation Fee
The Pagoda Union Building (PUB) is supported through the activities of the students.  In 2001, Student Government approved fees to be collected from students for the renovation of this building.  $3.00 per credit up to a maximum of $36.00 per quarter (beginning fall quarter 2006).

Technology Fee
In 1998, the Student Government approved the collection of a Technology Fee to support the development of technology support for students. $2.50 per credit up to a maximum of $25.00 per quarter.

Transcript Fee
An official transcript of academic achievement at Shoreline is available for a fee of $5 charge for the first copy; $1 for each additional copy per order. You may request transcripts online.

Senior Citizens (60 or Over)
Tuition is waived for up to two regular college credit classes on a space-available basis for audit only. There is a $5 fee for this service. Senior citizens must pay all applicable college and class fees.
