ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE & 100
Survey of Environmental Science (5)

A college level telecourse in environmental science which also serves as a resource for courses in biology, ecology, geography, geology and political science. It will utilize written material and television programs and may also serve as a resource for local governments and community action groups in planning and development. Student option grading.

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE & 101
Introduction to Environmental Science (5)

Examine natural cycles, ecosystems and other basic concepts of ecology. Study the issues of population, pollution and natural resources. The effects of economic, political and scientific decisions on us and our environment. Laboratory. Prerequisite: Recommended placement into ENGL& 101. Student option grading.

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE & 101W
Introduction to Environmental Science (5)

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE 202
Ecology of Natural Landscapes (6)

A study of the ecology of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems and the interaction between them. This course examines models of how ecosystemm processes operate at the watershed and landscape level, and the management options and environmental regulations which evolve from our understanding of those processes. Prerequisite: ENVS& 101, equivalent, or instructor permission. Student option grading.

Individual Project in Environmental Science (1)

Individual project in a specific area of environmental science. By arrangement with instructor. Prerequisite: Instructor permission, based on evaluation of student's educational and work experience. Student option grading.
