Is An Internship Right for Me? An internship is a directed-learning experience or work-based learning that bridges school and work.  It is an invaluable experience that can introduce you to a potential employer, give you "first hand" knowledge of what your career may look like, and build your network of support.

Internships focus on learning.  They are driven by your learning goals.  Jobs focus on work.  Any learning in a job usually stems from your employer's needs rather than your learning objectives. To begin thinking about an internship, review the most frequently asked questions FAQs

An internship program starts by contacting the Job Connections Center office to see what opportunities are available to you.  You will also need to develop your resume, interview with sponsors, develop your educational goals, and create a report of your experiences.  Internship Instructions
