WHAT’S NEW IN THE TECH CENTER

We now have a DVD player!! Isn’t technology great?  Have you ever watched something on TV and wished your students could watch it?  Tell a lab instructor which (future) program you want and we can record it on a DVD at home and bring it to the lab for your students to watch.  Some sample television shows that might work well for an ESL class include the following:                       · PBS’s Frontline · 60 Minutes ) · Any nightly news program such as CNN or MSNBC · Oprah                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Because we have TIVO and a DVD recorder at home, all you have to do is send us an email saying what program you’d like to have recorded, and, in a few days, your students could come into the lab to watch your request.  Email Sarah at: sswanberg@shoreline.edu                                                                                                                             (Go to Page 2  /  Page 3)
