Shoreline
Community College is a great place for an educational experience. As a
graduate of the General Motors Automotive Educational Program (GMASEP)
at SCC I know how it should work. 2007 will mark my 13th year at
Shoreline Community College.
Awards & Recognitions:
2002 - Faculty Excellence Award
awarded by SCC
The greatest honor of this award was the recommendation from one of my
graduates.
2003 – Instructor of the
Year/Technical Award of Merit
awarded by International Association of GMASEP
which is comprised of 65 colleges and over 100 instructors. The best
part is that my Mentor/Instructor received this award also.
2004 – GM World Class Technician
earned by becoming Master General Motors Certified; at the time only 4
technicians had received this in Washington State. Currently in 2007
there are only about 30 GM technicians state wide that hold this title.
The GMASEP program is a GREAT way to
get started in the automotive industry. This is a two year cooperative
program that incorporates technical studies on campus for 4 quarters,
alternating with 3 quarters at a sponsoring General Motors Dealership.
Upon completion of this program you will earn a Technical AAAS and
Numerous General Motors technical certifications that are recognized
World Wide.
