I have worked with Shoreline Community College since September 1991. During the first ten years with the College, I developed and taught the American Honda Professional Automotive Career Training Program (Honda PACT). In 2002, I had the opportunity to support both the automotive and manufacturing programs as assistant dean. I also worked with a grant from the National Science Foundation that developed programs to support the manufacturing industry in Washington State.

In 2004, I worked with Extended Learning at our Lake Forest Park campus to develop a program that identified training needs and provided training solutions through customized courses for local businesses and manufacturers. I also directed a state grant to establish the Center for Manufacturing Excellence (CME). This program has engaged key manufacturing companies and schools from around the state to create learning outcomes and curriculum that prepare students for entry-level jobs in the manufacturing industry. In August of 2005, I returned to the automotive department as interim director for automotive and manufacturing until a permanent director was hired in late 2006.

Currently, I am developing the General Service Technician Program and will begin teaching in Spring 2007.

My education includes a B.S. in Industrial Arts Education from Pittsburg State University (Pittsburg Kansas), and a M.Ed. in Industrial Education from Oregon State University. I am also certified as an ASE Master Automobile Technician and Advanced Engine Performance Specialist.
