Graduation and Commencement
What courses and how many credits do I need to graduate?
Students in their Last Quarter
Come to a workshop designed to help you understand the process to apply for graduation and participate in the commencement ceremony.
This is for students who are in their final quarter of study at Shoreline. We will cover:
- What you have to do to receive your degree or certificate
- The importance of having previous credits evaluated before applying to graduate
- Different types of graduation applications and the deadlines
- The process to participate in the annual spring commencement
You can get a preliminary degree audit anytime from your advisor or by using the online degree audit tool. A degree audit identifies what you've taken and what you need to take in order to complete your program.
During the last quarter of your studies at Shoreline, you will want to submit an application for graduation. This will notify Enrollment Services that you will finish the degree requirements of your program and that you would like to receive your diploma. Please be aware that there are different steps required for professional-technical programs and university transfer programs. See our graduation application page for more details.
Commencement is a traditional ceremony to celebrate the academic successes and accomplishments of Shoreline's graduates. Administrators, faculty, and staff all work to ensure this event is a memorable occasion.
