SCC Women's Soccer Drops 1-0 Match To Green River CC
SCC Women's Soccer Drops 1-0 Game To Green River - The Lady Dolphin Soccer Team dropped an important match to Green River Community College Saturday, 1-0 at Dolphin Field on the SCC Campus. SCC now falls into 4th place in the region, with only the top three teams making the playoffs. SCC has two more matches next week, Wednesday at Whatcom Community College and then next Saturday at home against Edmonds CC.
Green River scored in the 26th minute and while Shoreline dominated much of the second half, they could not put the ball in the net.
SCC is 7-6-4 overall and and 7-5-2 in the region. Green River moves to 10-4-3 overall and 8-4-2 in the region.
Defense played well for SCC, but the Lady Dolphins could not score on Saturday.

SCC Women's Soccer Defeats Everett CC 2-0
|
The Lady Dolphin Soccer Team beat the Northern Region leading
Everett CC Trojans 2-0 on Wednesday at the Dolphin Soccer Field on the SCC
campus and pushed themselves into a 3 way tie for second place in the region.
After a scoreless first half, Taylyr McLean scored
for the SCC squad at the 59 minute mark. Everett then pushed the ball hard in
the Shoreline half of the field, but Kendra Holley scored on a
counter attack from an assist by Jenny Voss at the 74 minute mark that sealed
the victory for SCC.
SCC is now tied with Edmonds and Green River CCs
for second place in the region with identical 7-4-2 records in the NWAACC
Northern Region. Everett still leads the Northern region with a 9-4-0 record in
the region. SCC is 7-5-4 overall.
Shoreline plays Green River on Saturday at home at
Noon in a crucial game for both teams. The top three teams in the region go to
the NWAACC playoffs.

Kendra Holley and Lauren Schoonover Named SCC Women's Soccer Players of the Week

Kendra Holley and Lauren Schoonover Named SCC Women's Soccer
Players of the Week - Holley, a midfielder from Shorewood High School, and
Schoonover, a goal-keeper from Marysville-Pilchuck High School, helped lead SCC
to a 0-0 tie against Edmonds Community College on Wednesday. SCC had a forfeit
win over Skagit Valley College on Saturday.
SCC is 6-5-4 on the season, 6-4-2 in the region,
tied with Green River CC for third place in the NWAACC Northern Region. The top
three teams in the region go to the NWAACC Playoffs. SCC plays Everett
Community College on Wednesday at SCC at 2:00 PM. SCC beat the region leading
Trojans 2-1 on October 8th in Everett.

SCC Women's Soccer Wins By Forfeit

The Lady Dolphin Soccer Team had a walk-over on Saturday, as the Skagit Valley College team could not muster but 6 players for the game and had to forfeit the match.
SCC moves to 6-5-4 overall and 6-4-2 in the NWAACC Northern Region. SCC is tied with Green River for 3rd place in the region and the top three teams from each region go to the playoffs.
SCC plays Everett Community College on Wednesday at the SCC Soccer Field. Match time is 2:00 PM.

SCC Women's Soccer Ties Edmonds 0-0
|
The
Shoreline Community College Lady Dolphins Soccer Team did not get a win, but
they broke their two game losing streak and tied the league leading Tritons
from Edmonds Community College 0-0 in a defensive struggle at the Starfire
Complex in Tukwila, WA on Wednesday. This was a home game for Edmonds, but they
could not use high school they normally play at, and their new Sports Complex
on campus was not ready for competition yet, so they were forced to move the
games to the Starfire Complex.
SCC is now 5-5-4 overall, 5-4-2 in the region. Edmonds is 11-5-1 overall and
7-3-1 in the region.
With the tie, SCC moves into a three way tie with Green River CC and Whatcom CC
for third place in the region, each team has a 5-4-2 record in the region. Each
region sends the top three teams to the NWAACC Playoffs. Shoreline plays Skagit
Valley College on Saturday at SCC at Noon. SCC beat SVC 7-0 in the first Northern
region game of the season, two weeks ago.

SCC Names Baylee Jones-Johnson at Women's Soccer Player of the Wee
Jones played two strong games from her defensive back position this past week as SCC dropped two games to Green River and Whatcom CCs.
SCC is 5-5-3 on the season, 5-4-1 in the NWACC Northern Region and faces Edmonds CC on Wednesday at Noon at the Starfire Complex in Tukwila, WA in a crucial game for the Lady Dolphins. SCC is now 4th in the league, with only the top 3 teams in each going to the NWAACC Playoffs. Edmonds is tied with Everett in first place in the Northern Region.

SCC Women's Soccer Drops 3-1 Match To Whatcom
|
The Lady Dolphin Soccer Team suffered a set-back in their
drive for the NWAACC playoffs on Saturday, dropping a 3-1 game at home against
Whatcom Community College. SCC had moved into 1st place in the NWAACC Northern
Region last Saturday, when they defeated Everett Community College at Everett,
but then dropped a game at Green River Community College on Wednesday at Green
River 3-0 and now Whatcom today at home.
Jenny
Voss scored for SCC to tie the match about halfway through the second half.
Shoreline dominated the match at times but could not score again, and WCC
scored two late goals to win the game.
SCC is now 5-4-1 in the Northern Region and 5-5-3
overall. SCC is in 4th place in the region and the top three teams make the
NWAACC playoffs at the end of the season. Whatcom is now 4-4-2 in the region,
5-4-3 overall. Depending on the result between Edmonds CC and Green River later
this evening, SCC will could be 1, 2, or 3 points out of 3rd place. SCC plays at Edmonds Community College on Wednesday.

SCC Women's Soccer Drops 3-0 Match To Green River CC
The Lady Dolphin Soccer Team dropped a 3-0 match to Green River on Wednesday in Auburn, WA. GRCC scored a late first half goal to go into halftime with a 1-0 lead and then scored two goals in 2 minutes at the 60 and 62 minute marks to put SCC away.
The SCC squad is now 5-4-3 overall, 5-3-1 in the NWAACC Northern Region. SCC was in first place before the game was played, but Green River now is in the lead with 17 points, compared to SCC's 16 points. But other games played today can change the standings as five teams in the region started Wednesday only 5 points apart.
SCC plays Whatcom CC on Saturday at Dolphin Field on the SCC campus at Noon.

• Mireya Saucedo and Lauren Schoonover Named Co-Players of the Week for SCC Women's Soccer:
· Saucedo, a freshman from Edmonds Woodway High School, scored two goals and had an assistant in two games last week, including the tying goal in the SCC 2-1 come from behind victory over #6 Ranked Everett Community College. Schoonover, a freshman goalkeeper from Marysville-Pilchuck High School, had 9 saves in the victory over Everett and a shutout against Skagit Valley.

SCC is 5-3-3 overall and 5-2-1 in the NWAACC Northern Region. SCC is now in first place in the region and faces Green River CC on Wednesday on the road and Whatcom CC at home on Saturday.

Lady Dolphins Defeat Everett CC 2-1 Short-Handed
|
The Shoreline Community College Women's Soccer team defeated Everett Community College on Saturday 2-1 while playing much of the match short-handed. SCC's McKensie Grafe was red-carded midway through the second half with the game tied 1-1, but 2 minutes later, SCC’s Anastaja Norins-Endres broke through on a counter attack to put SCC up 2-1. The Lady Dolphins played with only 8 players for almost f...ive minutes late in the second half when two players were put off the field for having nose pins.
But the SCC defense held firm. SCC moved into first place in the NWAACC Northern Region with the win, SCC is 5-3-3 overall and 5-2-1 in the region. Everett falls to 7-3-1 and 5-3-0. SCC plays at Green River CC on Wednesday at 2:00 PM.

Lady Dolphin Soccer Beats Skagit Valley 6-0
|
The SCC Women's Soccer Team took care of business on Wednesday, blasting the last place team in the NWAACC Northern Region by the score of 6-0.
The SCC squad was led by Mireya Saucedo who had a goal and assist, as SCC spread out the scoring amongst five players and SVC had one "Own" goal. Also scoring for the Dolphins was Danielle Norton, Kendra Holley, Anastaja Norins-Endres and Gnanamani Hooyman.
SCC is now 4-3-3 overall and 4-2-1 in the NWAACC Northern Region, and in second place. Shoreline faces Northern Region leader Everett Community College on Saturday at Everett, WA, if the Dolphins claim a victory, SCC will move into first place.

Sara Gilmore, a freshman forward from Ballard High School, has been named SCC Women's Soccer Player of the Week. Gilmore scored the tying goal against Bellevue College on Saturday, but SCC gave up a another goal later in the game to drop the match.
SCC is now 3-3-3 on the year, 3-2-1 in the NWAACC Northern Region and will play at Skagit Valley College on Wednesday in Mt. Vernon, WA. SCC along with 2 other teams in the region are tied for 3rd place with 10 points, while two teams are tied for first with 12 points.

* Lady Dolphin Soccer Drops 2-1 Match To Bellevue
|
The SCC Women's Soccer team ended its Western Region part of its schedule with a 2-1 loss to Bellevue College on Saturday at Bellevue. BC scored in the third minute of game to take an early lead, but SCC scored in the 12th minute on a goal by Sara Gilmore. Gabriella Rodriguez scored her second goal for BC in the 65th minute for the win.
SCC is now 3-3-3 overall and 3-2-1 in the Northern Region and are in a three way tie for 3rd in the region. Only 2 points separate the top five teams in the region as Edmonds CC and Everett CC are tied for 1st with 12 points and SCC, Green River CC and Whatcom CC are tied for third with 10 points. Skagit Valley College is in last with 0 points. NWAACC Northern Region play begins this week, with each team playing the other home and away. Games against the Western Region counted in the standings as mandatory NWAACC crossover games.
SCC plays at Skagit Valley College on Wednesday at 2 p.m.in Mt. Vernon, WA.
