Nevertheless, we began brainstorming ways to create a process of assessment for the college's progress on the strategic plan.<br><br>As discussed in the meeting, I'm making this post both as a means to familiarize ourselves with the mechanics of the new blog and to create a centralized collection point for our ideas on the topic of assessment.<br><br>For the record, here are the ideas that were shared in the meeting:<br><ol><li>SPOL will help us gather some of this information, though we will need to decide how to use the information it collects<br></li><li>Ask for reports from relevant committees on their achievements</li><li>Consult with in-house experts on assessment (Tonya Drake, Norma Goldstein, others?)</li><li>Examine the bullet points under each strategic direction in the plan and identify relevant people/divisions/areas on campus from whom to solicit input</li></ol>Please add your comments; by next meeting we should have plenty to sift through and start shaping into a coherent plan. <br> Gavin Smith http://www.shoreline.edu/StrategicPlanningBlog/blog http://www.shoreline.edu/StrategicPlanningBlog/blog/default.aspx?id=1&t=Welcome-to-the-Strategic-Plan-Blog 2008-12-03T16:49:35Z 2008-11-26T10:05:00Z 2008-11-26T10:05:39Z Welcome to the blog.
