eTutoring.org
Shoreline is now part of the northwest consortium providing online tutoring
to students. The service is open to all students and is
available 24/7.
Shoreline students may receive free and online tutoring in the following
subjects:
- Math (through calculus and statistics)
- Accounting
- Anatomy & Physiology
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Information Literacy (Research Methods)
- Spanish
- Writing
Students interested in tutoring just need to access the website (www.etutoring.org) and create an account.
To start, click-on the "Login Now" icon on the right side of the screen, choose
"Northwest eTutoring Consortium", and then select "Shoreline Community College".
On the left side of the screen, click on "Need an account?" and enteryour
name, email, and Shoreline Student ID number. For the "Username" and
"Password" fields, you must use your Shoreline Blackboard username and password
(go
here if you don't know what these are).
Biology
Success Strategies: Biology 091,
a 1 credit course, providing extra help with basic skills for science courses.
It will meet on the first 3 Fridays of Winter quarter from 12:30-2:20 pm and the
rest of the course will be online. Click

For the first time this upcoming Winter 2010 quarter
Shoreline's new
Environmental Geology
Class (Geol&110) will be offered.
Geology 110 is a new lab science course that explores
the impacts of human activities on the planet’s environment and its natural
resources (i.e. water and mineral resources), human dependence on these
resources and the impacts of geological processes on human populations.
