Media Equipment Delivery and Check-out
The Media department at the SCC library has a substantial collection of audio and video equipment for use by faculty in classrooms on the SCC campus. Media staff can bring some equipment to your classroom at your request. However, many classrooms on campus have equipment permanently installed in them (a current classroom equipment inventory can be found here [MS Excel document] - requires SCC network log-in), so please check to see what is available in your room before making a request of the Media department. Should you need training or assistance with the operation of media equipment, please contact Larry Cheng.

Equipment available for delivery to classrooms include the following:

  • Television with VCR and DVD
  • Overhead projector
  • 16mm film projector
  • 35mm slide projector

IMPORTANT NOTE: All requests for equipment delivery must be submitted prior to 12:00 PM on the business day before the date on which the equipment is needed. Equipment requests for Monday delivery must be made prior to 12:00 PM on the preceding Friday.

In addition, other media equipment is made available to faculty for check-out at the library's Media counter. Faculty may check out the following types of equipment by stopping by the library:

  • Digital still camera (requires training prior to first use)
  • Digital video camera (requires training prior to first use)
  • LCD projector
  • Laptop computer
  • VHS camcorder
  • Small PA system
  • Laser pointer
  • Audio tape recorder
  • Boom box

Should you have any questions regarding check-out of media equipment, please call the Media department at (206) 546-4721 (ext 4721 on campus) or email us. You can also stop by the library and talk to us in person during normal business hours.
