Group Study Rooms
Six study rooms are available in the library for groups of students to gather and work together. You can make a reservation for use of one of the rooms at the library's circulation counter. Reservations are taken by in-person request only, and an SCC student ID card must be presented at the time of the reservation request. Some additional rules pertaining to the group study rooms include:
  • Reservations can be made up to three days in advance of the requested reservation time (not including weekends or holidays).
  • Groups can reserve a study room for a block of time up to two hours in length.
  • These rooms can not be reserved by the same group of students more than twice in any one week.
  • Group study rooms are reserved for use by groups of students. Individuals cannot reserve or use these rooms.
  • A reservation will be forfeit if no member of the group shows up to claim their room by ten minutes past their reserved time slot.
  • Any and all conflicts arising related to group study room reservations will be resolved by an available library staff member. Decisions of this library staff member will be final.
  • The library is not responsible for the loss of personal items left unattended in group study rooms. The library recommends remaining in possession of your belongings at all times.
