Before the forums and separate interviews with the committee
and President Lee Lambert, the search committee worked hard to review the
candidate applications and narrow the field. Moving forward, the committee will
meet again to review their notes, list strengths and weaknesses of each candidate
and present a package of information to President Lambert.
Lambert said at the May 23 Board of Trustees meeting that he
hopes to have an offer made and a new VP hired by July 1. Whoever that is, they
will be taking over from the current vice president, John Backes, who has
announced his retirement. SCC/Jim Hills
